David Egan

What a great discovery and member of the family Dave Egan has been. Right on our very own doorstep. Better known to some of you as the man behind the professional sound we have at the Wine Country Ukulele Festival, it turns out that Dave is also a highly regarded ukulele  player and instructor.

As a sound technician, he has worked with artists such as The Rastafarians, Everette Harp, Jackson Browne, and Gregg Rolie, and has a carpetbag full of behind-the-scenes stories that tell all.

But, that’s beside the point. What Dave really loves to do is teach ukulele, and he is as enamored with the beginners as he is with the pros at the University of California at Santa Cruz, where he teaches ukulele, and here, at the West Coast Ukulele Retreat.

Dave has actually achieved “faith healer” status among those who have taken his workshop on ukulele ergonomics and claim to be pain-free for the first time in years. On top of all that,  you can bet we’ll have great sound, as well.

Get a taste of Dave as he answers three burning ukulele questions in seven minutes.
